Sui Bridge Adds CCTP for Easy USDC Transfers

Sui Bridge has taken a significant step forward by introducing Circle’s Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol (CCTP), allowing users to seamlessly transfer the USDC stablecoin between Sui and eight other supported chains. By embracing CCTP, Sui Bridge becomes a more versatile tool for cross-chain liquidity, simplifying how users move value throughout the crypto ecosystem.
With this integration, USDC can now flow directly between Sui and various other networks, including Arbitrum, Avalanche, Base, Ethereum, Noble, OP Mainnet, Polygon PoS, and Solana. The process is designed to be both secure and efficient. Instead of juggling complex conversions, users simply pay the gas fees on the source and destination chains. Behind the scenes, CCTP burns the originating USDC and mints an equivalent amount on the target chain. Because USDC is pegged to the U.S. dollar, there’s no need to worry about exchange rates or currency conversions.
Sui Bridge, which made its debut in September, initially supported direct transfers only between SUI and ETH. By incorporating CCTP, it now serves as a convenient, all-in-one gateway for moving USDC across multiple chains. This unified approach aims to enhance interoperability, reduce friction, and further establish Sui Bridge as a reliable hub for digital asset transfers in an increasingly connected blockchain landscape.
