Pump.fun, the popular Solana-based memecoin launchpad, has introduced a mobile app for iOS and Android, expanding access to its coin creation, trading, and portfolio management features directly from mobile devices.
New Features with Mobile Access
The new app enables users to:
- Create, buy, and sell memecoins from their phones
- Build custom watchlists for tracking projects
- Manage digital portfolios in-app, according to a post on X (formerly Twitter).
Regulatory Barriers in the UK
However, the app will not be available in the UK, following a warning from the UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) in December 2024. The FCA cautioned users that Pump.fun may be operating without authorization and advised vigilance regarding potential scams.
Legal Challenges in the U.S.
In the U.S., Pump.fun is facing multiple legal battles:
- Two U.S. law firms filed lawsuits alleging intellectual property infringement.
- Another lawsuit claims violations of securities laws.

Despite these regulatory and legal issues, Pump.fun continues to thrive, remaining a top choice for memecoin launches. The platform recorded:
- $15.5 million in daily fees just one year post-launch.
- $7.61 million in fees on February 13, 2025, alone.
