The Plomin hard fork marks a significant milestone for Cardano, enabling ADA holders to exercise genuine voting power over critical aspects of the blockchain. This includes decisions on parameter changes, treasury withdrawals, future hard forks, and the overall direction of the network. “The Plomin hard fork takes effect, marking the transition to full decentralized governance. As of the latest data from CoinDesk and TradingView, Cardano’s ADA token is trading at $0.93, reflecting a 1.4% increase for the day. A hard fork involves a non-backwards compatible alteration to the blockchain’s protocol, necessitating Stake Pool Operators to update their nodes and endorse the upgrade through a majority vote. Currently, nearly 80% of nodes have successfully upgraded to the new version, positioning Cardano for a seamless transition.
