Alchemy Acquires HeyMint to Supercharge Smart Wallet Development in Web3 Expansion

Blockchain infrastructure company Alchemy has acquired NFT launchpad HeyMint in a strategic move to speed up the development of its smart wallet solution—aiming to make Web3 access simpler and more secure for developers and users alike.

Announced via a press release on Friday, the acquisition brings HeyMint and HeyMint Quest into Alchemy’s fold, bolstering the firm’s mission to make smart wallets the default onboarding tool for new Web3 users. With over 13 million smart wallets already deployed, Alchemy is currently leading the ERC-4337 ecosystem, according to analytics firm BundleBear.

By integrating HeyMint’s talent and technology, Alchemy plans to enhance its developer support infrastructure and streamline smart wallet integration. At the heart of this effort is HeyMint’s co-founder and CTO, Flor Ronsmans De Vry—a well-regarded Web3 developer also known for founding blockchain automation firm Fuse Robotics in the UK. De Vry will join Alchemy alongside other key members of the HeyMint team, bringing deep expertise in blockchain scaling and SDK development.

“Joining Alchemy gives us the scale and reach to take that vision further—and make secure, user-first onboarding available to every developer and project,” said De Vry.

HeyMint, co-founded by De Vry, Mai Akiyoshi, and Ben Yu, is widely recognized for building intuitive, no-code tools that help creators launch NFTs. With more than 1 million users and over $38 million in NFT sales generated across 40,000 creators, the platform has played a significant role in making NFT deployment accessible to newcomers. The team has also partnered on Web3 projects for major global brands like Mastercard, Ubisoft, Universal Music Group, and The Sandbox.

Alchemy president and co-founder Joe Lau emphasized that HeyMint’s user-first approach aligns closely with Alchemy’s broader vision of lowering the barriers to Web3 adoption.

“HeyMint’s focus on creating the most accessible and user-friendly experience aligns perfectly with Alchemy’s vision of onboarding the next generation of users and technology companies to Web3,” said Lau. “We’re excited to welcome their team into ours.”
